Robbie and Mel

Through a mutual friend, I was contacted to capture a surprise engagement. I was told it would take place at The Blowing Rock, so of course I said yes! Now mind you, this is my first session post Covid 19 quarantine...let me out...ITS TIME TO SHOOT!

He knew she was the one...

Robbie and Mel began dating a little under a year again and it became evident to Robbie that she was the one! They have both been married before and this would be a new adventure for their blended family. One day Robbie was instructed by one of Mel's sons that when he proposed he was to buy the Diamond at Diamond's Direct and he had to propose at The Blowing Rock in Blowing Rock, North Carolina. Of course Robbie had to follow the plan given to him by her young son though he did have to make a tweak because he found the PERFECT RING at Kay's! So this past Sunday, June 7, 2020, we headed to The Blowing Rock around 10 AM to scope out the area and determine the perfect spot for his plan. See Robbie wrote a poem for Mel that was placed in a Message Bottle for her to find and as she read it he was to get on his knee and we had to find the perfect spot!

Now when I tell you...

Mel is the sweetest! She was so worried he was messing with someone's things. She looked and around and I had to quickly turn my camera as she looked around to make sure they wouldn't get in trouble! She was so surprised! The plan was perfectly executed on a beautiful day with only a few clouds in the sky...and the best part...SHE SAID YES!!!!
